Branding for Warehouse Space: Drivers’ Lounge, Training Classroom, Truck Shop
Nova Lines is a fast-growing, premier flatbed trucking company. Upon relocating their headquarters to a larger building in Bridgeview, Illinois, Nova Lines aimed to infuse their brand into the new space. Already equipped with a logo and color palette, Cornerstone Architects called in the Machine to strengthen and expand the Nova Lines brand for interior design purposes. We provided project management, consulted on strategy, and offered creative services, including design and photography.
Following a discovery phase and initial ideations, the client selected separate themes for the office and warehouse sections of the building.
The warehouse, housing a drivers’ lounge, training room, and truck shop, would celebrate the driver experience. The Drivers’ Lounge serves as a space where the drivers can relax while onsite, whether waiting for their truck to be serviced or taking a break between training sessions. The tall ceilings and long walls offered ample opportunity for design with the risk of looking cold and sterile. We overcame this challenge by painting curves along the walls and floors that suggest the rolling landscape seen while driving across our country carrying loads. To draw attention to the tall ceilings, we muraled the wall with a print created by converting a truck detail photo into a half-tone image. Other photos from the Nova Lines truck photo shoot appear as murals or large prints throughout the room.
